In short
La Datcha is the first SeaXplorer 77. Oleg Tinkov had the design stretched from 65 to 77 metres so that the yacht could serve as a heli-skiing, diving and surfing platform (Boat International, Boat International). DNV classes her hull with Ice-C, the society's basic ice notation for light ice conditions, and she holds a Polar Ship Certificate under the IMO Polar Code (DNV). Damen gives a range of 6,000 nm at 11 knots, and the yard's press release puts her autonomy at up to 40 days (Damen, SWZ Maritime). For flying and diving she has a certified main helideck, a standby deck and a hangar below deck for both, plus a Triton submarine for three people and a dive centre with a decompression chamber (Damen, YachtBuyer). In her first year in service she sailed from the Netherlands through the Suez Canal to Asia and spent a summer of charters in Kamchatka (Boat International).
