In short
Anawa is the first delivery from Damen's SeaXplorer range, the expedition line the yard first showed at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show and developed with EYOS Expeditions (Boat International, Damen Yachting). On 62 metres she fits a fully certified helideck with a hangar, two tender garages, a dive store and stores for 30 days of autonomy, with a range of 6,000 nautical miles at 11 knots (Boat International, Damen Yachting). Her hull is described as Polar Class, and Damen said the range was engineered for IMO Polar Code Category B, but her exact Lloyd's Register notation and any Polar Ship Certificate have not been published (Superyacht Investor, SuperYacht Times). She runs on diesel-electric power, with a battery bank feeding two electric propulsion motors (Damen Yachting, Superyacht Investor).
