Game Changer (now Indratus)

Game Changer was launched by Damen in February 2017 as the second hull of its Yacht Support 6911 model, a 69-metre working platform with an axe bow, a helideck and a hangar below it. Her first owner refitted her as a stand-alone expedition yacht with a technical dive centre, a submersible and Polar Code certification, and in 2019 she covered 48,000 miles, from Antarctica and South Georgia to Indonesia. A 2020 refit lengthened her to 72 metres. Now named Indratus, she was refitted by Oceanco in 2026 to serve as a companion vessel in Gabe Newell's Inkfish fleet.

In short

Game Changer shows how far a commercial-style support hull can be pushed as a private explorer: Damen built her as a 69-metre Yacht Support 6911 with a five-tonne helideck and a hangar beneath it, and her first owner added a trimix dive centre with a recompression chamber, a U-Boat Worx submersible and an ROV (Boat International, SuperyachtNews, Robb Report). She was certified under the IMO Polar Code for Arctic and Antarctic operations, although no ice-class notation has been published (SuperyachtNews). The kit was used: in 2019 she covered 48,000 miles, including Antarctica, South Georgia, Patagonia and Indonesia, and a British Antarctic Survey scientist used her submarine to study retreating fjord ice (Robb Report). Since 2026, as Indratus, she has returned to the support role she was designed for, as a companion vessel in Gabe Newell's Inkfish fleet (Boat International).

Specifications

Ice class
No ice-class notation has been published. She is classed with Lloyd's Register, whose public register does not show notations, and none of her descriptions mentions ice strengthening of the hull
Polar Code
Certified for Arctic and Antarctic operations under the IMO Polar Code after her 2018 refit; Boat International called her Polar Code compliant in 2021. The category on her Polar Ship Certificate (A, B or C) has not been published
In ice, in practice
A Polar Ship Certificate sets limits for each ship. Category C, the least demanding, covers ships designed for open water or ice lighter than thin first-year ice; without a published ice notation there is no basis to assume more for Game Changer. Her reported polar voyages, to Antarctica and South Georgia, were described as research-led dive expeditions, not as ice navigation
Role
Built as a yacht support (shadow) vessel. From 2018 to 2021 she cruised on her own as an expedition yacht and was chartered three times to support other yachts. Since 2026, as Indratus, she is a companion vessel in Gabe Newell's Inkfish fleet with the 111-metre Leviathan and the 92.8-metre Draak

From 2018 she carried a custom Airbus H130 T2 with a gyro-stabilised Shotover 8K camera. The 2026 refit transformed the interior space under the helipad; no source has yet said whether the hangar was kept
Submersible and ROV
A U-Boat Worx C-Researcher rated to 1,100 m from 2018, replaced by a new three-person U-Boat Worx CR3 collected in Curaçao in early 2021; a Saab Seaeye Falcon ROV rated to 1,000 m. Equipment after the 2021 sale has not been described

PADI five-star dive centre with trimix filling by Moondog Diving, a custom compressor, 48 cylinders and a Hyperlite recompression chamber; dive instructors, dive masters and a rebreather diver among the crew

250 m² open working deck able to carry 350 tonnes, with a 360-degree deck crane lifting 11.45 tonnes at up to 16 m and a second crane for the crew tender (as built); 110 m² of dive and storage space below deck. YachtBuyer lists a 12-tonne deck crane after the 2020 crane changes
Tenders and toys
On her 2017 sea trials: a Wajer 38 dayboat, a 10.5 m RIB and a U-Boat Worx submersible. After the 2018 refit Boote listed an open tender, a landing craft, three RIBs and three KTM motocross bikes. By 2021 she carried six tenders, including a 38 ft Intrepid fitted with sonar
Where she has been
One circumnavigation by early 2021, mostly in cold waters such as Patagonia. In 2019 she covered 48,000 miles, calling at South Georgia, Antarctica, Patagonia, Central America, the Pacific, Indonesia and Australia. In Antarctica a British Antarctic Survey scientist used her submarine to study fjord ice retreat. Charters supporting other yachts were in the Mediterranean (helicopter platform and security), the Caribbean (security and diving) and Antarctica (expedition staff). In 2021 her captain named Central America and the Caribbean as the next destinations

Does Game Changer have a helicopter hangar?
As built, yes: an explosion-proof hangar under the five-tonne helideck, sized for a Bell 429, AW109 Grand New or Airbus H155. The 2026 refit changed the space under the helipad, and whether the hangar remains is not confirmed (Boat International, Boat International).
Who owns Indratus?
She is reported to be part of Gabe Newell's Inkfish fleet, alongside Leviathan and Draak (Boat International, October 2026); her registered owner is Cervantes Co (Boat International, LR).
